Both UnitedHealth Group's behavioral companies and PacifiCare Behavioral Health offer consumers broad access to quality health care services. While PacifiCare offers consumers an extensive network of high quality clinicians and providers across the West, UnitedHealth Group brings a strong national network, significant technologies to support consumers and health care professionals, and a leadership role in making the health care system work better for people nationwide. This combination strengthens the offerings and capabilities available to customers of both companies.
Our relationship with you is of paramount importance, and we recognize that you may have questions about contracts, administrative functions, policies and other matters. Please be assured that expediting the combination in a thoughtful manner and addressing your questions are absolute priorities. In the interim, you should continue to work with your current representatives and follow existing processes for claims submission and other administrative functions.
Until further notice, existing contracts and reimbursement schedules will remain in place, and in-process credentialing and re-credentialing efforts are unaffected. As our plans develop, we will communicate more information and timelines. The latest news will always be available on our Web site.
